A great tool against rape
A South-African woman has invented a tool to help cut the country's rape problem, barbed endo-condoms. This is outstanding; it'll cut the risk of involuntary pregnancy and HIV infection, plus teach a much-needed lesson to the scum who perpetrate this sort of thing. Now if only they could come up with a safe-to-wear flesh-eating bacterium version. Or an enhanced Ginsu version, or ....

agreed.
I heard once that some Saigon brothels had razorblade rings. The blades were pitched slightly inward so that it cut on exit.
It's a death sentence in a gang rape.
On the other hand, South Africa is so bad now, that it could be justified on a purely "take (a piece of) the bastards with you" theory.
In S.A. right now, most of the time a gang-rape is already a death sentence. This's a country where, outside of rich-ville, BMW stands for "break my windows" -- it's really screwed up.
Take a piece of them indeed, but, more importantly, make it so they can't avoid coming to the attention of law enforcement, then hopefully put away somewhere where they'll pump 'em sunlight for a few hours a day.
You're being to nice. I say forget the daylight and use the "Wall to Wall COunceling" FM (I have a copy for just such cases). I quote: "For cases of rape, immediate counceling is required. Group participation is highly encouraged. Dimension lumber will be used, at least 2 limbs will be broken and the testicles must be hit no less than 10 times."
