OMR hits it on the head, again

Chris at One Man's Rage hits the nail on the head once again as to why the muslim world sucks. Kow-towing to these guys is going to turn Europe into a cesspool. Unfortunately, I don't see any Churchills out there who're willing not to lie down and let these guys give 'em the shank. It's enough to make you start to think banning religions could be a good thing.

Nah, that'll just feed into it.

Better would be to simply bitchslap anybody who threatens your embassy in the first place. for instance, have your embassy guards open up with a .50 cal when the building is attacked, and dare the local government to say anything.

I had a student once give me a copy of a document that claimed to be a draft proposal to be submitted to the UN General Assembly calling for a ban on all religion.

Banning religions? Bad idea. NOt taking them so seriously? I could go for that. Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars...

Well, Mike, it goes like this: do you tolerate violent intolerance or not? If the religion in question is an engine of conspiracy to murder, then isn't that by definition criminal?

Yes it is. But (as much as I hate to use this line) the majority of Muslims are not violent. But for whatever reason their nutballs are a bigger bunch of hardcases than OUR nutballs. Part of me thinks that deepsixing the entire religion wouldn't be a bad idea, but the another part of me has issues with doing that. To be honest though, I really beginning to have issues with the silent majority of "peaceful" types not saying a damn thing everytime the nutballs go at it. If you are going to push the "we are really nice guys" angle, you need to pony up and PROVE it. So while I still have issues with nixing the entire religion, they are slowly falling by the way side as the peaceful types again and again fail to step up and speak out. It kinda reminds me of the US Civil War where the rapid abolishionists and the Southern Fire Eaters started as fringe and ended up as the only ones talking.

I meant Rabid, not rapid. And yes I mis-spelled the anti-slavery guys too. Sorry, spelling never was my strong suit.
