Supporting Ron Paul

As everyone knows, I rather like Ron Paul, since he's the only libertarian running right now (the Libertarians, as in the Libertarian party, are a sad joke and look like they'll remain so for decades to come).

If you want to support Paul, but don't want to throw away your cash too soon, there's a new online Pledge you can sign up for that states:
"I will donate $100 but only if 1,000,000 other people will do the same."
If you're interested in signing up, the link is here.

Guilty as charged - I'm supporting Ron, even putting up some cash. Thanks for the info.

Another thing to remember is to become a Delegate. It might take a few hours of your time - but it's really worth it.

Wonder if that'd scare folks into saving the coalition...

What's a Delegate?

Eh, sorry, didn't check back here.

Delegate's are party electorate representatives. A subset of chosen delegates (from the states) make up the electoral college.

That's why states typically "fall" onto party lines during the election - because (simplifying this greatly) the popular vote determines which party's delegates get to participate in the college.

The popular vote itself doesn't actually determine who wins, the delegates do.

Oh, that's what they're called. Ok. I thought they were called Electors for some reason....

:o)
