Moving to Livermore, CA. Two major terrain features from San Francisco, and a blue-******* ***** of a commute, but a very nice area in general: one of the few affordable places in the region that isn't completely covered over with foundations.
Not a fan of the landscaping, but otherwise it's a nice place with plenty of room to be ensconced for the forseeable future, which, at California real-estate prices, really means the foreseeable forever....

Oh, that's a MUCH worse commute than I thought... ouchiepoo.
iirc, though, you're not far from some nice places to hike and take photos on the weekend.
Would you be able to work from home like you do now? It certainly would lessen the commute.
@Alex: I might be able to work from home once per week, or out of a closer office twice per week. Probably the former if I know what's good for me. :)
@Russ: yeah, I weren't kidding.
Yes...career wise one always does better when around all the time than when absent/telecommuting.
Looks like a nice place though for your American Mastiff (assuming the backyard is big)
So when are you moving?
excellent.
landscaping can be changed.
Yeesh, that's a haul and a half. It makes my reason for not living in Chickasha seem pretty weak.
Sorry you have to move back, just when I was moving much closer too.
