I would generally agree with this were it not for the fact that the GOP seems committed to putting up a complete douchebag as its candidate.. 2008 is the DNC's election to lose; unless something goes horribly wrong for them I think this is finally the 'diversity election'..
I'm voting for Ron Paul I *think*.. I don't really want to vote for a GOP guy even if he IS actually a libertarian..
I may simply stay home. The Reagan Coalition is dead, and neither party appears to give a rat's ass about the values I generally hold dear, with the partial exception of Paul... who would be beaten in a general election by Kucinich.
And the commentariat is even worse: "I like this one, I don't like that one, but as soon as he/she/it is nominated,I'm rallying behind my tribe!"
