From the 'nuff said department

It's even worse than that.. Take a look at the 'about' section of the Iraq Body Count site and you find that they include those "who have died as a result of inadequate health care". So basically if IBC hears of an Iraqi getting the flu and dying, they add them to the list.. Because that's our fault.

Well, for some of them it is our fault. We should've shot looters on sight the way we did everywhere else we've ever occupied -- then they'd still have hospitals worth going to. Or, at least they would in Sunni territory anyway. In the south that's another matter altogether. I don't know exactly how the conventions are written, but we were at least responsible until the interim gov't was in power, maybe still responsible until the new gov't is formed.

That said, however, Civvie death toll isn't all our FAULT; we don't drive carbombs into crowded marketplaces, although you wouldn't know that from the NY-Times or SF-Chronical.

This image was lifted from the NY-Times, surprisingly enough; I'm hoping it lights a fire under someone's posterior to do something about Sudan, but w/ the Chinese & Euro oil contracts, that's not likely.

Well, it won't light any fires. The only time it seems to make anyone care is when we (the Evil US Empire) can be blamed for it. This is the absolute proof of how feckless the other side can be. The US is evil, we killed innocents, alert the UN and deploy to save "the people". Dafur? Oh, well, that's not nice what's going on but I have to hurry to my "Free Tibet" meeting so I guess someone needs to do something at sometime.

Freaken Jackels.
