But I see how this is going to be a popular item with the concealed carry crew. I would bet private security types would like this too. And by using Glock it already has a good name and reliability going for it.
Two questions from someone who doesn't know: 1) This is just a nice shell for a handgun with an extended clip right? Or is it really a concealable SMG? 2) Speaking of the concealed+carry types....how exactly do the Police in Texas and other states feel about this technology and the whole rule of concealed carry? Do they support it or does it just make them more jumpy that everyone is a potential threat?
#2 is not a loaded question - I'm genuinely curious. You have to be pretty damn trusting that the system of screening those who can conceal and carry is foolproof, or, your reflexes and ability to see potential drawing of weapons is better than the average joe.
Axl: Generally, in all states that have them, people willing to go through the proctological verification required for concealed carry are people who are way more law-abiding than average, so when a cop sees a CCW they generally relax a little.
Blair: amen! Having that whipped out would be psychologically significant, even if a smaller .45 would be faster & more effective. But it's hard to argue against 30 beans in the bucket.
But...the cop won't ever see the CCW until it gets pulled out right? So really you never know who has a weapon and who doesn't until they pull it out. I guess the police do have to trust that those with CCW won't snap or turn to a life of crime to pay off the mortgage.
As a CCW holder, I can say that the crime rates of CCW holders are so low that cops have no issues in Nebraska with them, except for a Pinko in Lincoln who is almost into a shooting war with the Sherrif over it (Sherrif is a pro-CCW, the Chief of Police is from Chicago). You are supposed to provide your CCW with you ID if you have a weapon in the car or on you, but most people just let them know either way to be safe. Cops in Nebraska and Oklahoma are very pro-CCW. The background checks are pretty thorough so if you have one you are not a felon or someone who might be a bit of dicey character. And the class you have to take is a great education on how gunlaws work, so a cop who sees that knows you actually have an understanding on how they work and are much less likely to pull it out to impress the girl or to scare off someone making fun of you.
And Jim, BOLO as in Giant Tank. Check out Happy Crow.
BOLO is indeed impressive, but for biggest tank ever, I still bow to the almighty power of the Maus (WWII German monstrosity - 150mm main gun, 75mm co-axial gun). Of course, BOLO/Paladin is self-propelled artillery but I'm sure it could take on a T-90 and win if it wanted to.
Yeah that is the truth. One of the other neat little tricks for a Crusader was the improved barrel and propellant which had a max range of over 40 km (unclassified). A T 90 would be dead before it ever got to the front line.

And yes, a little work on the seer and any pistol becomes an auto. Glocks are especially good guns for this due to their level of reliablity and fine machining.
And in TX, folks with CCW are generally acknowledged to be among "the good guys" unless otherwise noted. Crime rates among CCW holders is nearly infinitesimal.

In most states, CCW-holders must produce their CCW when supplying ID.
Oh, and in good old Virginny, they know from your license-plates.

No. It could simultaneously engage 12 T-72's and kill them at ranges beyond their main cannon at the same time with it's own time on target barrage.
